Description

Surgical Technologist

Job Title: Surgical Technologist (Surgical Tech)
Facility Type/Setting: Hospital / Operating Room
Shift & Schedule: 8-hour shifts | Shift listed: 07:00–19:00
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of recent Surgical Tech experience in a hospital setting.
NBSTSA certification required (must be attached to submission).
BLS certification required through the American Heart Association (must be attached to submission).

Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms and arrange surgical equipment.
Assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures.
Anticipate surgeons' needs and provide appropriate instruments.
Set up and maintain the sterile surgical field.
Assemble, transport, and retrieve surgical equipment.
Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are accounted for.
Monitor certain surgical equipment, including vital-sign monitoring machinery.
Inspect, maintain, decontaminate, and repair surgical equipment.
Maintain equipment inventory records.
Assist with pre- and post-operative patient care, including shaving, transporting patients, and applying dressings.
