Critical Care Float RN

Schedule: 3x12s, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, including weekend and holiday rotation.

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Float Pool RN comfortable floating between ICU, Telemetry, Med/Surg, and PCU. Candidates must be able to care for patients with varying acuity levels and adapt to different unit needs.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• ICU/critical care experience preferred.
• ADN/ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active, unrestricted Kentucky RN license.

Certifications:

• BLS (AHA)

Candidates who already have ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications will be strongly preferred.

Additional Expectations:

• Comfortable floating between multiple units and managing varying patient acuity.
• Hourly patient rounding and bedside shift reports.
• Strong prioritization, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs.
• Must follow infection control, patient privacy, and confidentiality protocols.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling over 35 lbs.
• Frequent walking, bending, and repetitive movements.
• Exposure to blood, bodily fluids, sharps, and airborne infectious diseases.
