Description
Job Title: CVOR Tech
Location: Abilene, TX 79601
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required.
- Certified through NBSTSA or NCCT.
- BLS certification required.
- Trauma Level II experience preferred.
- Travel experience preferred.
- Must have an active license/certification in hand at submission.
- Experience with cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures.
- Must be available for call and occasional weekend coverage.
- May float to the Main OR.
- Adult and geriatric patient experience.
Description:
- Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, surgical instruments, and equipment.
- Anticipate surgeons' needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Support procedures including CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, EVAR, carotid endarterectomy, and aortic aneurysm repair.
- Maintain aseptic technique and follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
- Assist with surgical counts, specimen handling, and instrument preparation.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other surgical team members.
