Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
Provide comprehensive, age-specific nursing care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a fast-paced emergency department. Perform patient assessments, identify changes in condition, prioritize care based on acuity, and respond promptly to medical emergencies. Administer medications and treatments, implement and evaluate individualized care plans, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective patient care.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions. Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes. Delegate and supervise CNA/Tech staff, support team coordination, and maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and nursing protocols.
Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted Alaska RN license.
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, communication, and emergency response skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and provide safe, compassionate patient care.
