Description

Position: Certified Surgical Tech (CST / OR Tech)
Shift Details: Mid Shift 4x10-Hour (13:00 – 23:30, 40 hrs/week)
Call & Weekend Rules: 6 call/weekend/holiday shifts per 8-week time block ($8.00/hr on-call rate; 1.35x call back)
Scrubs: Facility provided

Critical Qualifications & Strict Requirements

Certifications: CST (NBSTSAS) required (unless traveler worked as a surgical tech in NY state prior to 2015).
Experience Level: Hard stop requirement for 4 years of surgical tech experience (may screen strong candidates with 3–4 years across multiple service lines).
Required Service Line Skills: Candidate MUST have experience in Bariatrics, Vascular, Thoracic, Ortho, and Neuro.
Traveler History: NO first-time travelers (Previous travel experience is mandatory).
Radius Rule: No local candidates (Must reside > 75 miles from Rochester, NY).
EMR & Setting: Epic experience preferred; 13-room OR setting handling 40–60 daily cases.
