Description

LTC / TCU RN

Guaranteed hours: 48 hours/week; 36-hour guarantee is also available. Most nurses choose 48.
Patient ratios:
- Days: 1:30
- Nights: 1:54
- Med aides handle medication passes; LTC patients are generally low acuity.
Units: Travelers may float between two units based on skillset:
- LTC: 58 beds.
- TCU: 14 beds; wound vacs and IVs, similar to stepdown.
TCU experience: Wound vac and IV experience preferred but not required. Nurses without this experience will likely remain on LTC.
Weekends: No guaranteed weekend schedule; must be flexible based on facility needs.
Housing: Small mountain town, so start looking for housing early.
