Position Summary

The facility is seeking a skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging examinations for screening and diagnostic purposes.

The selected candidate will operate specialized mammography equipment, obtain accurate diagnostic images, assist radiologists with breast imaging procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
• Obtain high-quality mammographic images following established protocols.
• Operate and maintain mammography imaging equipment.
• Position patients accurately to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Perform standard mammographic views, including CC (Craniocaudal) and MLO (Mediolateral Oblique).
• Assist radiologists with diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Support breast imaging procedures, including breast biopsies and localization, as required.
• Review images for positioning and technical quality.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Educate patients about imaging procedures and provide compassionate care.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R).
• ARRT certification in Mammography (M).
• Relevant experience in mammography imaging.
• Knowledge of breast anatomy and mammographic positioning techniques.
• Experience with digital mammography equipment.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience performing screening and diagnostic mammograms.
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D mammography (Digital Breast Tomosynthesis).
• Experience with breast ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy support preferred.
• Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.

Shift & Schedule Details

• Shift: Day Shift.
• Schedule: 4 days per week.
• Shift Duration: 12 hours per day.
• Weekly Hours: 48 hours.
• Work Schedule: 4 × 12-hour Day Shifts.
• Weekend Requirement: To be confirmed.
• On-Call: To be confirmed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a certified Mammography Technologist with strong technical expertise in breast imaging, excellent patient-handling skills, and the ability to produce accurate diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Important Submission Requirements:

• Relevant mammography experience required.
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications.
• Ability to work four 12-hour day shifts per week.
• Must be comfortable working a 48-hour schedule.
