Description:

Provides comprehensive nutritional care to patients and residents identified with special needs and/or those who meet nutritional risk criteria. Provides nutritional care which includes patient assessment and reassessment, patient and family education, interdisciplinary communication, nutritional plan of care development, and documentation of all interventions in accordance with policy and acceptable practice standards. Acts as a competent clinician who provides clinical care in a skilled and effective manner, utilizing appropriate technical and decision-making skills.

Requirements:

Day Shift 8x5's - Must be able to function as an acute inpatient clinical dietitian. Must have extensive experience working with Parenteral Nutrition. We need someone with experience in all clinical areas who can be shown the system, pass competencies within the first few days and function clinically independent. Floating required as needed throughout the Kern County Network (AHTV, AHBD, AHSB). EPIC Experience required.

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor?s Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent: Required
• Master's Degree: Required, only if eligibility for examination began on or after 1/1/24
• Experience as a Clinical Dietitian: Preferred
• Dietetic internship or its equivalent: Required

Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered Dietitian (RD) within 6 months of completion of residency program: Required
