Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns
Perform maternal and newborn assessments and monitoring
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Support breastfeeding, newborn care, and patient education
Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary care teams
Accurately document patient care and maintain compliance with hospital policies

Requirements

Active California RN license
Minimum 1 year of recent Postpartum, Mother Baby, or Women's Services experience
Current BLS certification
NRP certification preferred/required per facility guidelines
Strong communication, assessment, and patient education skills
