Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Facility/Location: Lawrence, KS
Shift & Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts
Weekly Hours: 36
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Weekend/Holiday Requirements: As needed; holiday coverage expected
Floating: As needed, but very rare

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of ER experience
First-time travelers not accepted
Kansas or Compact RN License in hand
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications in hand
No new graduates accepted

Preferred Experience

5+ years of ER experience
Large facility experience

Responsibilities

Rapidly assess and treat patients with a variety of injuries and illnesses.
Provide emergency nursing care during the initial phase of acute illness.
Stabilize patients through medication administration, intubation assistance, blood draws, and IV initiation.
