Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and implement programs to improve patient care quality and employee performance.
- Monitor nursing staff performance and ensure compliance with patient care standards.
- Conduct unit assessments in collaboration with Nurse Managers.
- Identify performance issues and assist with implementing corrective action plans.
- Develop and maintain record-keeping systems to track medication errors and staff counseling.
- Support nursing leadership in maintaining quality care and operational standards.
- Provide guidance and supervision to nursing staff.
- Promote patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of nursing experience.
- At least 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program required.
- Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Active RN license required.
- New York State Department of Education (NYSED) primary source license and registration verification required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing experience required.
Schedule:
- Alternating weekends required.
