Description
Department: AMG Maternal Fetal Medicine – OB/GYN
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 40 hours/week schedule
- No weekends
- No call
- No holidays
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of sonographer experience specifically in Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM).
- RDMS registration in OB/GYN through ARDMS.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers – AHA.
- Advanced knowledge of fetal abnormalities and their diagnosis.
- Ability to identify normal and abnormal anatomy during ultrasound examinations.
Required Procedures / Skills:
- First-trimester ultrasound.
- Nuchal translucency.
- Fetal anatomy scans.
- Growth scans.
- Doppler studies.
- Biophysical profiles (BPP).
- Basic fetal echocardiography.
- Transvaginal ultrasound.
- Portable imaging.
- Amniocentesis.
- Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS).
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic to advanced obstetric ultrasound examinations.
- Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques, including Doppler, color imaging, M-mode, and real-time imaging.
- Review patient history, lab results, and physician orders before examinations.
- Maintain and adjust ultrasound equipment.
- Document procedures and billing codes accurately.
- Assist with training sonography students, OB/GYN residents, and medical students.
- Provide age-appropriate patient care and support.
