Lead Medical Technologist (ASCP) | 13-Week Contract | Day Shift
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Lead Medical Technologist
(ASCP) for a 13-week contract assignment. This is a leadership opportunity for a skilled laboratory professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to guide workflow, maintain quality standards, and support a high-performing laboratory team.
Position Details
- Job Title: Lead Medical Technologist
- Start Date: 11/30/2026
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Shift: Days
- Start times between 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM
- End times between 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Schedule: Rotating days, weekends, and holidays
- Charting System: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- ASCP or NCA registration as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician
- Bachelor's degree or higher in:
- Medical Laboratory Science
- Medical Technology
- Biology
- Microbiology
- Chemistry
- Completion of an approved Medical Technology internship program
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure
- Ability to prioritize and triage workload for optimal productivity and efficiency
- Excellent interpersonal skills with staff, physicians, patients, and visitors
- Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily laboratory operations and workflow coordination
- Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards
- Support staff development and serve as a resource for laboratory personnel
- Assist with scheduling, prioritization of testing, and workload management
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure timely and accurate results
- Maintain a positive, patient-focused laboratory environment
