Job Summary: 
 

South East Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator to join its surgical services team in Juneau, Alaska.

The OR provides care for a wide variety of elective and emergency surgical procedures, including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic surgery, orthopedic, vascular, and OB/GYN cases.

The RN Circulator is responsible for coordinating surgical activities, maintaining patient safety throughout procedures, and ensuring cases proceed efficiently throughout the day. This position requires strong clinical judgment, multitasking abilities, and the flexibility to participate in after-hours call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Candidates with Operating Room experience in critical access hospitals or rural surgical settings are strongly preferred.
 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care as an OR Circulator.
• Coordinate and facilitate surgical procedures while maintaining patient safety.
• Perform circulating duties for elective and emergency surgical cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other surgical team members.
• Maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment.
• Support surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic surgery, orthopedic, vascular, and OB/GYN.
• Efficiently manage multiple responsibilities to ensure timely surgical operations.
• Participate in after-hours call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license required at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room Circulator experience.
• Current flu vaccination required.
