Job Summary: 

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care. The RN will utilize the nursing process, clinical expertise, and critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.

The successful candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, administer medications and treatments, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and promote patient safety and positive patient outcomes.

Travel RNs may be required to float to other units based on facility staffing needs and patient census.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, facility policies and procedures, standards of care, and applicable state nursing practice laws.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation according to established standards of care.
• Develop, initiate, and implement individualized patient care plans based on patient needs, physician orders, and hospital policies.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care needs.
• Participate in departmental and unit-based performance improvement activities, including shared governance initiatives when applicable.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments to support continuity of patient care.
• Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment to promote patient safety and improve the patient experience.
• Recognize changes in patient conditions and appropriately escalate concerns through the established chain of command.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to float to other units as facility needs require.

Required Qualifications & Credentials

• Current, active Wisconsin RN license required.
• Previous nursing experience required.
• Current NIHSS certification required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Education verification required.
