Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
Facility Type/Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Comprehensive Stroke Center / STEMI Receiving
Shift & Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; start times may vary (7 PM, 7 AM, 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM, or 3 PM)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Active RN license required at submission; facility is willing to wait.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required.
• NIHSS required.
• PALS required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Behavioral health experience required.
• Travel experience preferred; ideally 1–2 completed assignments.
• Driver’s license required at submission.
• Clinical profile review and manager interview required.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and emergency interventions.
• Stabilize patients experiencing acute illness or injury.
• Administer medications and manage critical IV drips.
• Perform IV starts, blood draws, and other emergency nursing procedures.
• Monitor and care for patients with cardiac, neurological, medical, and behavioral health emergencies.
• Assist with triage when experienced.
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide emergency care and coordinate patient treatment and transfers.
