Santa Barbara, CA
About
Located along the Central California Coast on a stretch often referred to as the "American Riviera," Santa Barbara enjoys a mild, Mediterranean-like climate tucked between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific. Built in Roman, Greek and Spanish styles, Old Mission Santa Barbara sits on a hilltop above the city, revealing its early years as a mission town founded in 1786. Today, the mission houses a museum with various artifacts. However, the beaches draw most people to the area, with many gorgeous stretches of water within easy reach, offering activities like standup paddleboarding, fishing and surfing. People also flock to Santa Barbara for the wine, with the Urban Wine Trail featuring over 20 tasting rooms in and around the Funk Zone area.
