Registered Nurse – Burn ICU
Facility: UCSF Hyde – San Francisco, CA
Start Date: 11/17/2026
Contract: 9 Weeks
Shift: Night 3x12 (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• At least 1 year of Critical Care experience.
• Previous travel experience within the last 12 months required.
• BSN and active California RN license required.
• AHA BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS required for Burn Care.
• Epic experience required.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Burn ICU, pediatric, and charge experience preferred.
• CCRN, ABLS, and CBRN preferred.
• Must float to other UCSF facilities as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care to burn and trauma patients.
• Manage ventilators, arterial lines, and continuous IV sedation.
• Administer blood products and monitor patient responses.
• Manage dysrhythmias and multisystem organ failure.
• Perform critical care assessments and infection prevention.
• Provide procedural sedation and respiratory support.

Unit Details:

• 16 beds; approximately 10 patients daily.
• Patient ratio: 1:2.
• Patient population: Neonates through geriatrics.

Additional Requirements:

• COVID vaccination and booster mandatory; no exemptions.
• Proof of vaccination/booster required at submission.
• Prior travel experience within 12 months is mandatory.
• Floating within UCSF facilities required.
