Ultrasound Technologist – Emergency Department 
 

Facility: MultiCare Emergency – Union Gap
Location: Union Gap, Washington
Specialty: Ultrasound
Unit: Free-standing Emergency Department
 

Schedule

• Contract: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (3×12 hours)
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• On-call: Required – 1 weeknight per week (10:30 PM until the following morning) and 1 weekend per month.
• Call response time: 30 minutes.
• Floating: Rare; may float to Yakima Hospital.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of acute-care experience.
• First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 5+ years of experience.
• Must be comfortable working independently as the only ultrasound technologist in the department.
• General ultrasound scanning experience.
• Vascular DVT and arterial studies.
• OB/GYN ultrasound: first, second, and third trimester, size and dates, and BPP.
• General abdomen, pelvic, and testicular ultrasound.
• Patient population: Mostly adults, with some pediatric patients.
