ICU Float Pool RN | Kentucky
 

In this Float Pool role, you’ll work primarily across ICU, but may float to Telemetry, Med/Surg and PCU, as well.
 

What we’re looking for

• At least 1 year of RN experience, with Telemetry experience required
• Recent specialty experience preferred
• ICU or critical care background is a plus
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• Active, unrestricted Kentucky RN license

Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association): within 90 days of hire
• ACLS (AHA), PALS and NIHSS: within 6 months of hire
• Nonviolent crisis prevention training: completed before orientation ends, then renewed annually
• Annual flu vaccine

If you already hold ACLS, PALS and NIHSS, you’ll stand out.

What the day-to-day looks like

• Hourly patient rounding and bedside shift report
• Prioritizing care as patient needs change
• Staying in close communication with physicians and other departments
• Managing your time and staying flexible across multiple units
• Following infection-control protocols and protecting patient privacy
