Physical Therapist (PT) – Travel Contract

Location: New Hampton, IA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• No weekends or holidays

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13-week travel contract in New Hampton, Iowa. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive physical therapy services to patients with various conditions, helping them improve mobility, restore function, manage pain, and achieve optimal independence.

Candidates must have experience with Epic EMR and hold a current BLS certification.
 

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions, functional limitations, mobility, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and physician referrals.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, gait training, and functional rehabilitation.
• Assist patients in improving strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and range of motion.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve established goals.
• Document patient evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately using Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and professional practice guidelines.

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist license in Iowa or eligibility for licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous clinical Physical Therapy experience.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient care skills.

• Tuesday/Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
