Description

Radiology Technologist – Travel Contract

Location: Davenport, IA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Weekends/Holidays: Every Other Weekend (EOW) and holidays as needed

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for a 13-week travel contract in Davenport, Iowa. The ideal candidate will have experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures, producing high-quality radiographic images, and providing safe and compassionate patient care.

An active ARRT certification is required.

Job Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
Position patients appropriately to obtain accurate, high-quality diagnostic images.
Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently while following radiation safety guidelines.
Verify patient identity, review examination orders, and explain procedures to patients.
Adjust imaging techniques and positioning based on patient conditions and examination requirements.
Maintain radiation protection standards for patients, staff, and visitors.
Monitor patients during procedures and provide assistance as needed.
Evaluate images for quality and completeness before submitting them for radiologist interpretation.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Follow infection control procedures and departmental safety protocols.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Current ARRT certification required.
Current state licensure, if applicable.
Previous experience in diagnostic radiology.
Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, anatomy, and radiation safety.
Excellent patient care and communication skills.

Schedule & Contract Details

13-week travel assignment
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Every other weekend (EOW)
Holiday coverage as needed
Location: Davenport, Iowa
