Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) | Travel Contract

Location: Greensboro, GA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 shifts per week | Every Other Weekend (EOW)
 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract in Greensboro, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience and the ability to provide efficient, high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department.

Epic EMR experience is preferred.
 

Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and prioritization of care based on patient acuity.
• Provide immediate nursing interventions and emergency care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and critical conditions.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• Assist physicians with emergency procedures, diagnostic testing, and patient stabilization.
• Recognize and respond promptly to medical emergencies, including cardiac and respiratory distress.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using the facility's EMR system.
• Follow established nursing standards, infection control practices, and patient safety protocols.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.

Schedule & Contract Details

• 13-week travel assignment
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW)
• Location: Greensboro, Georgia
