Job Description:

GreenStaff Medical is seeking an experienced Pediatric Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) for an exciting travel assignment in Washington State.

The ideal candidate will have pediatric psychiatric experience, strong therapeutic communication skills, and the ability to provide compassionate care to children experiencing behavioral and psychiatric crises.

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate nursing care to pediatric behavioral health patients.
• Use therapeutic communication and trauma-informed approaches.
• Prioritize prevention, de-escalation, and least restrictive interventions.
• Perform physical holds, mechanical restraints, and seclusion when clinically indicated and safety criteria are met.
• Monitor patient safety and behavioral changes.
• Collaborate with Pediatric Mental Health Specialists and the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide nursing care for patients with behavioral and medical needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Psychiatric experience
• BLS Certification
• PALS Certification
• Washington State RN License
• Comfortable working with children and managing disruptive behaviors
• Strong therapeutic communication and de-escalation skills
