Position Overview
 

Adventist Health Simi Valley is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for its Telemetry Float Pool. The RN will provide coordinated nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process. Responsibilities include monitoring and supporting patient care, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and supervising or directing assigned nursing staff as needed.

The ideal candidate should have strong telemetry nursing experience, the ability to exercise sound clinical judgment, and experience using the Epic electronic medical record system.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with established standards and nursing procedures.
• Assess patient needs and coordinate appropriate care with other healthcare disciplines.
• Utilize critical thinking, independent judgment, and professional discretion in clinical decision-making.
• Supervise and direct the activities of assigned nursing staff as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using the Epic EMR system.
• Support safe, effective, and timely patient care across assigned float pool areas.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of CA
• Current BLS certification from an approved provider.
• Current ACLS certification from an approved provider.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Previous Epic EMR experience is mandatory.
• Ability to work in days/night shifts.
• Must be willing to work either 36 or 48 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous acute-care facility experience.

Holiday Requirement
 

The facility may approve one holiday off; however, the selected traveler must be available and willing to work the other holiday during the assignment.

• Holiday availability: Must be flexible to work one holiday if requesting the other off.
