Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional / Forensics

Shift: Days – 3x12 (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours: 36 hours/week

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work on a 16-bed locked forensic/correctional unit providing care to incarcerated patients from state and local prisons and jails. Responsibilities include direct patient care, cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of dysrhythmias.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
Active Tennessee or compact RN license.
Cerner experience required.
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI (MAB accepted in place of CPI).
Comfortable working with incarcerated patients.
Charge experience preferred.
First-time travelers accepted.

Additional Details

Every other weekend required.
Call required.
Floating to other Med/Surg units, ED, Postpartum, and potentially ICU.
16-bed unit.
24 hours of orientation.
Pre-start EKG assessment required.
Holiday rotation: 3 of 6 designated holidays.
No holiday RTO.
COVID and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only).
