Description

🏥 RN – Operating Room (OR) | Travel Contract

📍 Mason City, IA
📅 13-Week Contract
⏰ Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Position Highlights

Every 6th weekend on call.
Minimum of one overnight call shift per week.
Additional call as needed based on department requirements.
Included in holiday call rotation.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Serve as circulating and/or scrub nurse based on experience and department needs.
Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment.
Monitor patients and collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team.
Complete accurate surgical documentation.

Requirements

Active RN license (Iowa or compact).
BLS certification required.
NIHSS certification required.
Previous Operating Room nursing experience.
Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing and sterile techniques.
