Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Sitka, AK

Position Details:

• Specialty: Surgical Technologist

• Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Day Shift
• Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 10 hours per day
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
• Minimum Experience: 1 Year
• EMR: Meditech

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program.
• Active CST Certification required at the time of submission.
• Current BLS Certification required at the time of submission.
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, anatomy, and sterile techniques.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during various surgical procedures under nursing supervision.
• Prepare and arrange sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain sterile techniques throughout surgical procedures.
• Anticipate surgeons' needs and preferences.
• Monitor instruments and supplies to ensure sterility.
• Prepare instruments for cleaning and sterilization.
• Assist with patient positioning.
• Provide backup call support for emergency surgeries.

Call Requirements:

• On-call and callback required.

• Housing and transportation are not provided.
• Agency is responsible for assisting with housing and transportation arrangements.
• Start date is subject to fingerprint processing and clearance.
• No holiday coverage required.
