Position Overview

Chenega is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to support laboratory operations and provide accurate, timely, and reliable diagnostic testing services. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical laboratory knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy, quality control, and patient safety.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures.
• Collect, receive, process, and analyze laboratory specimens.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Review and validate laboratory test results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Perform quality control procedures and maintain accurate laboratory records.
• Identify and troubleshoot testing discrepancies, equipment issues, and abnormal results.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with laboratory policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support timely diagnostic services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• Relevant clinical laboratory experience.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, instrumentation, and quality control.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
