Circulating RN – Outpatient Contract | Bloomington, IL
O.R. Staffing Solutions is looking for an experienced Circulating RN to join our team for an outpatient opportunity in Bloomington, IL!
We specialize in perioperative staffing, so we understand the OR, the pace, and how much it matters to put the right nurse in the right environment. We're a smaller, personal team. You'll have a recruiter who knows you and supports you from day one through the end of your assignment.
THE OPPORTUNITY -
Location: Bloomington, IL
Position: Circulating RN (OR RN)
Schedule: 4 days per week, Monday–Thursday
Shift: 10-hour shifts
Start: ASAP
Contract: 6 weeks , with potential for extension
Setting: Outpatient surgery center
CASE MIX - Primarily cataract procedures - Some retina procedures (retina experience not required) - Some blepharoplasty procedures Facility uses Alcon phaco equipment; familiarity is a plus
WHAT YOU'LL DO -
Circulate high-volume ophthalmic cases in a fast-paced outpatient setting
Complete pre-op patient assessments, verify consents, and lead surgical time-outs Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs to keep the schedule moving
Verify and document lens implants and maintain accurate intraoperative records Uphold sterile technique and patient safety standards throughout every case
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR -
Active Illinois RN license
Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
Minimum 2 years of recent OR circulating experience
Outpatient or ASC experience preferred; ophthalmic experience a plus
Comfortable with quick turnovers and a high case volume
Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
