• 7 prep/recovery bays, 1 Cath Lab and 1 IR Lab
• Free parking; scrubs provided

Experience Requirements:

• At least 1 year of Cath Lab Tech experience.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.

Certifications & Requirements:

• Cath Lab Tech: BLS, ACLS, and ARRT or RCIS.
• IR Tech: BLS and ARRT-R (listed in the posting; confirm exact requirement).
• EPIC/Encompass experience required.
• MERGE experience required — hard stop if the candidate does not have it.

Clinical Experience / Procedures:

• Cardiac catheterization: right and left heart cath, interventions and pericardiocentesis.
• Pacemaker and defibrillator insertion/manipulation.
• Ports, PICCs, nephrostomy tubes and Hickman lines.
• Arteriograms and vascular interventions.
• Lower-extremity angiograms; occasional upper-extremity/fistulagrams.
• PE, DVT, thrombolytics, venograms and fistula creation.
• UAE procedures as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Must be comfortable scrubbing and recording cases.
• Nursing staff will circulate; the technologist is not required to circulate.
• If the candidate is not competent in 1–2 procedures, the manager may review for approval.
• Cath Lab may support procedural/IR overflow cases when no afternoon caths are scheduled.

Equipment & Systems:

• EPIC/Encompass
• MERGE and Merge Hemo
• Siemens X-ray equipment
• Philips monitors
• Alaris IV pumps
• Omnicell medication dispensing
• Balloon pumps may occasionally be used.

Schedule & Call:

• Monday–Friday; no weekends.
• No routine weekend coverage.
• On-call depends on department needs.
• Closed on major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
• RTO requires manager approval.

Floating:

• No general floating.
• IR Techs may be asked to float to the Cath Lab room.

Orientation:

• Typically 1 day of facility orientation.
• 2 days of departmental orientation.
• Assigned learning modules must be completed within 30–45 days.
