Facility Overview:
Cheyenne County Hospital is a nonprofit 16-bed Critical Access Hospital in northwestern Kansas, providing Acute Care, Swing Bed services, Obstetrics, and a 24-hour Emergency Department.
 

Position Summary:
The RN will provide direct patient care across the Medical-Surgical unit and Emergency Department, caring for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
 

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes.
• Perform ED triage and assist with emergency stabilization and trauma response.
• Coordinate patient transfers to higher levels of care.
• Provide patient/family education and discharge planning.
• Cross-cover departments as needed in the rural hospital setting.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Critical Access Hospital experience (Required)
• Current Kansas RN license or compact license
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS
• Current PALS or ENPC
• TNCC (Preferred)
• NRP (Preferred)
• Two professional references from the past 3 years, including one supervisor
