Labor & Delivery / Postpartum RN – Lincolnton, NC

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12s, 36 hours per week; every other weekend

Facility: 101-bed hospital; no trauma designation. Stroke Center.

Unit Overview:

• 10 LDRP rooms, 2 OB rooms, and 2 triage rooms
• Average daily census: 7
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines:
  • 1:2 for inactive labor
  • 1:1 for active labor
  • 1:3–4 couplets for postpartum
• Patient population includes labor, triage, postpartum, and newborn care.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience
• First-time travelers may be considered
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM required
• Strong L&D and postpartum skills
• Experience with labor management, C-section circulation, pre-op/PACU, triage, and newborn resuscitation
• Pitocin and epidural management
• Must be willing to work in an LDRP setting

Unit Resources & Equipment:

• Dedicated scrub tech for deliveries and C-sections
• Charge nurse available
• 24/7 OB physician and anesthesia/CRNA coverage
• Nurses and lab staff perform blood draws
• EMR: Epic
• Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors
• Fetal monitoring and bladder scanner

Additional Details:

• Must be willing to float to other regional facilities within scope of practice, including Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, and Charlotte-area facilities.
• Every other weekend; no call
• Travelers work 75% of holidays
• Up to 6 days of RTO may be approved, excluding holidays.
