Travel MLT, Parker Indian Hospital (IHS), Parker, AZ

$1,630/week | $40.76/hr blended | $400 travel allowance

Join a 17-bed Critical Access Hospital serving about 7,850 patients of the Colorado River Indian Tribes on the Arizona–California border. The hospital runs a 24/7 Emergency Department, inpatient care, primary care, and a full-service lab, with specialty support from Phoenix Indian Medical Center. Parker sits on the Colorado River, about 35 miles south of Lake Havasu City.

Pay Package

• Taxable hourly: $31.13/hr ($1,245.20/week at 40 hrs)
• Per diem: $55/day ($385/week)
• One-time travel allowance: $400
• Overtime: $46.70/hr for pre-approved hours over 40
• 1-year contract, with up to 4 extension years

What You’ll Do

• Collect, receive, verify, label, and process patient specimens
• Perform routine and moderately complex testing in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, microbiology, and blood bank
• Operate lab instruments, and verify and report results according to policy
• Run QC/QA, proficiency testing, and equipment maintenance and calibration
• Document results in the LIS and EHR
• Follow CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and IHS laboratory policies

Requirements

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, or equivalent
• Active, unrestricted MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
• 1+ year of recent clinical laboratory experience
• Proficiency across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, blood bank, micro, serology, UA, and QC/QA
• BLS certification
• Must pass identity verification, fingerprinting, and a federal background investigation, and complete orientation and competency validation

Preferred

• IHS, tribal, federal, rural, or critical access hospital experience
• Experience in a CAP- or CLIA-accredited hospital lab
• Phlebotomy experience or PBT certification

Schedule
7-day coverage with 8- or 10-hour shifts. Nights and federal holidays may be needed. Start date: ASAP.
