$1,637/week | $40.93/hr blended | $400 travel allowance

Join the Peach Springs Health Center, an Indian Health Service outpatient facility serving about 3,160 patients in the Hualapai community along historic Route 66 in northwest Arizona. It’s part of the Colorado River Service Unit and offers primary care, laboratory, imaging, pharmacy, dental, optometry, podiatry, and public health services, with specialty support from Phoenix Indian Medical Center. Peach Springs is about 50 miles east of Kingman, near Grand Canyon West.

Pay Package

• Taxable hourly: $31.30/hr ($1,252.00/week at 40 hrs)
• Per diem: $55/day ($385/week)
• One-time travel allowance: $400
• Overtime: $46.95/hr for pre-approved hours over 40
• 1-year contract, with up to 4 extension years

What You’ll Do

• Collect, receive, verify, label, and process patient specimens
• Perform routine and moderately complex testing in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology
• Operate lab instruments, and verify and report results according to policy
• Run QC/QA, proficiency testing, and equipment maintenance and calibration
• Document results in the LIS and EHR
• Follow CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and IHS laboratory policies

Requirements

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, or equivalent
• Active, unrestricted MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
• 1+ year of recent clinical laboratory experience
• Proficiency in specimen processing, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, serology, UA, and QC/QA
• BLS certification
• Must pass identity verification, fingerprinting, and a federal background investigation, and complete orientation and competency validation

Preferred

• IHS, tribal, federal, rural, or outpatient clinic lab experience
• Experience in a CLIA-accredited lab
• Phlebotomy experience or PBT certification

Schedule
Day shift, Monday–Friday, following clinic hours. The clinic is closed on federal holidays. Start date: ASAP.
