Description

Position Details:

  • Specialty: Hospitalist / Critical Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Location: Potsdam, New York
  • Start Date: January 6, 2027
  • Duration: 26 weeks
  • Pay Rate: $120/hour
  • Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
  • Coverage: Approximately 14 shifts per month
  • Patient Population: Adults
  • Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:10–15
  • EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide general medical care to hospitalized patients.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of illnesses and medical conditions.
  • Examine and evaluate patients upon admission.
  • Coordinate patient care throughout the hospital stay.
  • Communicate with patients' primary care providers regarding treatment and care plans.
  • Coordinate follow-up care with primary care providers after discharge.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and X-rays.
  • Answer patients' questions and explain treatment plans.

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Hospitalist specialty.
  • Active New York state license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience.
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Epic experience required.
