Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Adolescent Behavioral Health
Facility: Carle Health – Young Minds Center
Location: 2223 W Heading Ave, West Peoria, IL 61604

Start Date: 11/30/2026
End Date: 02/27/2027
Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week
Weekend: Every other weekend
Holiday: A/B rotation
Floating: None
 

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant RN experience.
• Adolescent Behavioral Health/Psychiatric nursing experience is relevant to this assignment.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred.
• Active Illinois RN license in good standing.
• AHA BLS required.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required.
• Strong patient assessment, communication, documentation, and crisis management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assess adolescent patients and develop individualized plans of care.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions and patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and event reports.
• Promote patient and staff safety and use appropriate crisis prevention techniques.
• Provide patient/family education and support.

• No floating required.
• Traveler is responsible for returning unit keys at the end of the assignment. Failure to return keys within 30 days may result in a $350 supplier fee.
