Description
Travel Surgical Technologist – CVOR (Open Heart) | Day Shift
Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Position Details:
- Specialty: CVOR Surgical Tech – Open Heart
- Location: Zanesville, OH
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Options: Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts Day Shift
- Call: Minimum 2–3 days per week, depending on staffing
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist surgical teams during open-heart and cardiovascular procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical instruments.
- Ensure proper handling and availability of surgical instrumentation.
- Apply knowledge of central processing and surgical equipment.
- Float and assist in General Surgery when CVOR volume is low.
- Participate in scheduled call rotations, including weekend call.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Minimum 2 years of current or very recent Open-Heart experience.
- BLS certification required.
- CST certification preferred but not required.
- Excellent critical-thinking skills.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and central processing.
- Flexibility to assist in General Surgery when needed..
