Compensation

• 24-Hour Call: $1,000–$1,200
• Callback / Onsite Hourly: $130–$140/hour
• 24-hour call includes 4 gratis hours.
• Additional callback compensation applies after completion of gratis hours.

Schedule

• 24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Approximately 4 shifts per month
• Candidate-driven availability considered.
• Credentialing may take approximately 90 days.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide surgical first-assist support for cardiothoracic procedures.
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting.
• Conduct daily hospital rounds and patient assessments.
• Provide on-call coverage and respond to calls/pages as needed.
• Assist with general surgery coverage.
• Perform rooming, clinical documentation, and charting.
• Manage adult and pediatric patient populations.

Clinical Requirements

• Experience with cardiothoracic surgery.
• Previous surgical experience is mandatory.
• Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting experience required.
• Experience with procedures including:
  • CABG
  • Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
  • Lung procedures
  • ABG

Facility Details

• Setting: Hospital and Medical Office
• EMR: Cerner
• Patient Volume: Approximately 4–5 patients per day
• Support Staff: 3 additional APPs
• Call Type: 24-hour call (provider is contacted or paged when needed).
