Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care (LTC)

Facility: UW Health – Beaver Dam Hillside Manor

Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours
Timing: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Patient Ratio: 1:20
Beds: 66
Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics

Requirements:

• Active WI RN or Compact RN License
• AHA BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of Long-Term Care experience
• LTAC experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals within 50 miles are not accepted

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to long-term care and rehabilitation patients.
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration and wound care.
• Manage IV therapy, PICC lines and central line care.
• Handle admissions, discharges and patient transfers.
• Monitor patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke and other chronic conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with providers.
• Follow infection control, fall prevention and patient safety protocols.

Additional Details:

• Every other weekend required (6 weekends per contract).
• Floating required.
• Night RN may be the only RN in the facility and will assume charge responsibilities.
• 1 RN and 1 Med Tech per hall.
• CNA ratio: 1:20 on nights.
• BSSR, AIDET and hourly rounding required.
• Free onsite parking.
• Flu vaccine required; eligible exemptions accepted.
• COVID vaccine not required.

Important: Candidates must be comfortable managing night-shift responsibilities independently. Telemetry exam required before start.
