RN Manager of Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg)
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift

Position Overview
Gunnison Valley Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager for its Medical/Surgical department. The MS Nursing Manager will oversee patient care, nursing staff, and daily Med/Surg operations while collaborating with the leadership team to ensure efficient clinical operations, staff development, effective resource management, and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate patient care within the Medical/Surgical department.
- Provide leadership and oversight to nursing staff.
- Manage daily Med/Surg department operations.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to support efficient clinical operations.
- Facilitate staff development and professional growth.
- Support effective resource management and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
- Active RN license.
- Demonstrated nursing expertise and leadership capabilities.
- Experience relevant to Medical/Surgical nursing management.
Additional Requirements
- Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) background check required.
- Holiday coverage required.
- Reliable transportation is essential. Gunnison is a rural area with no public transportation.
