Description

Requirements

Associate Degree in Medical Technology.
Familiarity with Vitros instrumentation.
ASCP certification or an equivalent nationally recognized Medical Technology certification required within one year of hire.
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Active state license, where applicable.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests.
Conduct quality-control testing and document results.
Identify inconsistent test results and take appropriate corrective action.
Communicate critical laboratory results promptly to physicians and nursing staff.
Perform instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
Process specimens and assist with specimen collection when needed.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and test reports.
Follow laboratory safety protocols and hospital policies.
Assist with inventory management and quality-assurance activities.
Participate in the department's on-call rotation, requiring a 30-minute response time.
