Registered Nurse – Operating Room (RN OR)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN OR) to provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The candidate must have strong clinical knowledge, excellent surgical skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Perform preoperative assessments and ensure patients are properly prepared for surgery.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures while maintaining patient safety.
• Monitor patients' conditions and respond promptly to changes during surgery.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and surgical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and operating room standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Peri-Op 101 Certification is mandatory.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Must be able to work independently across the following surgical service lines:
  • Urology
  • Vascular
  • Orthopedics
  • Pain Management
  • Spine
  • Ophthalmology (Eyes)
  • Plastic Surgery

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices.
• Excellent patient assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operating room environment.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and patient safety protocols.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
