Operating within a 2-suite surgical suite at an accredited critical access hospital, this assignment features a dependable 40-hour daytime schedule (07:00 – 15:00 / 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, five 8-hour day shifts guaranteed weekly, with possible 4x10 options). 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE (40-Hour Week)

• Weekly Gross: $2,427.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,267.00
• Hourly W2 Regular Rate: $29.00/hr (40 regular hours)
• Hourly W2 Overtime Rate: $43.50/hr
• (Both local and travel candidates accepted; 50-mile radius applies for travel stipend eligibility).

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (07:00 – 15:00 / 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM). Possibility of a 4x10-Hour schedule per unit discretion.
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
• Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks.
• Block Scheduling: Block schedules are not offered.
• On-Call Requirements: Standby call is required: ~8 shifts per month (including weeknights, one 3-day weekend [Fri/Sat/Sun], and assigned holidays). On-call rate is $15.00/hr with 1.3x call-back.
• Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd or 4th weekend rotation on call depending on rotation and approved time off.
• Department Setting & Capacity: 2-Room Operating Room suite within a Critical Access Hospital and ambulatory surgical environment.
• Nurse-to-Patient Staffing Ratios: 1:1 intraoperative circulating; 1:2 to 1:4 in Pre-Op / Phase II PACU.
• Floating Scope: Floats across all areas of Surgical Services (Pre-Op, Intra-Op Circulating, PACU Phase I/II, and Endo) and assists other departments within clinical scope as needed.
• Clinical Scope & Specialty Care:
  • Circulating for a wide variety of cases: General surgery (laparoscopic procedures, cholecystectomies, appendectomies, hernia repairs), Orthopedics (total joint arthroplasty, Hana table positioning, arthroscopies, open/closed reductions), ENT (tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, myringotomies), Endoscopy (colonoscopies, EGDs), and Dental surgeries.
  • Circulating for scheduled and emergent Cesarean Sections (C-Section circulating is a mandatory hard stop).
  • Comprehensive perioperative continuity: pre-operative assessment, IV starts, surgical time-outs, intraoperative documentation, specimen handling, conscious sedation monitoring, Phase I & II PACU post-anesthesia recovery, and discharge instructions.
  • Management of electrosurgical units, Hana orthopedic fracture tables, and Steris processing protocols.
• EMR System: Epic electronic health record.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience Requirement: Minimum 2 full years of dedicated acute care Operating Room RN clinical experience (critical access hospital experience required; well-rounded perioperative background across Pre-Op, OR, PACU, and Endo required; first-time travel nurses accepted and eligible for Auto-Offer).
• Clinical Specialty Hard Stop: Documented competency circulating C-Sections is strictly required.
• Licensure (Strict Hard Stop): Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) License or Multi-State Compact RN License strictly in hand at submittal (pending licenses cannot be submitted).
• Certifications Required at Submittal (Must all be active and attached):
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association (AHA) only.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) — AHA only.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) — AHA only.
• Preferred Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• EMR Competency: Epic EHR experience is required.
