Shift: 10hr Day Shift - 40

Shift Information: 0630-1700

Clinical Interviewing- Yes, manager will have final approval

On Call, Call Back Requirements: 1 weeknight call per week, 1830-0630 ▪ Every 5th weekend, Saturday 0630-Monday 0630 ▪ 30-minute callback time

Weekend Rotation: Call only

Holiday Requirements: 50%

JOB DESCRIPTION

About Facility:

• 33 Beds
• No Trauma Designation
• Not a Teaching Hospital
• Not a Chest Pain Center
• Not currently Stroke accredited
• Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Unit Information:

• Beds: 3 ORS
• Census: Around 10 per day

Minimum Years of Experience required: 3 years of acute OR experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Mostly adults, could see some peds ENT patients
• General, GYN, ortho (total joints, ORIFs, sports medicine upper extremity), urology
• Robotics: Healthcare Hugo (experience not required)

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.)

• BLS

Skills required:

• Experience with above patient types
• Will circulate, would prefer someone who can scrub
• Must be comfortable working independently as will be only RN on callback
• EPIC experience
• Support within the Department:
• Charge RN (not on callback)
• Leader always available, via phone after hours
• Administrator for Hospital available
• Scheduler for scheduled cases
• 5-6 RN, 4-5 Surgical Techs during the day
• Anesthesiologist/CRNA 24/7
• RT 24/7
• Hospitalist 24/7

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC - required
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Med dispensing: Omnicell
• Unit specific equipment

Floating: If yes, where:

• No

Orientation (facility and unit):

• NEO
• 2 shifts of orientation – will take buddy call

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: Call only
• On call:
  • 1 weeknight call per week, 1830-0630
  • Every 5th weekend, Saturday 0630-Monday 0630
  • 30-minute callback time
• Holiday Expectations: 50% of holidays, call only
• Approval of RTO: to go through manager
• Shift times:
  • 10h shift - 0630-1700, rotating day off each week
  • Cannot guarantee a block schedule, but try to work with traveler as much as possible
• Schedule cycle: Scheduler makes the schedule in 6-week increments

• Scrub Color: Provided, extended sizing available if needed

RN to circulate general, gyn, ortho, and urology procedures
