Description
Reliable Nurse Staffing is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a travel assignment at Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, Kansas.
Assignment Details:
- Pay: $2,215 per week / $61.53 blended hourly equivalent
- Start Date: November 30, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks, with longer assignments available
- Schedule: 3×12-hour day shifts, 7a–7p
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Unit: 5 North – Neuro & Behavioral Health
- Charting: Epic
- Scrub Color: Navy
About the Unit:
This 31-bed medical/surgical unit cares for patients with stroke, TIA, acute neurological conditions, general medical needs, and medical conditions accompanied by behavioral health concerns. Behavioral health experience is not required. Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients, administer medications and treatments, and monitor changes in condition.
- Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and provide patient and family education.
- Float to other medical/surgical and post-surgical inpatient units as needed.
Requirements:
- Active Kansas RN license or applicable multistate license with no disciplinary history.
- Current AHA BLS certification at submission.
- At least one year of acute care medical/surgical nursing experience.
- Previous travel nursing experience required.
- ADN or BSN.
- CPI and NIHSS certifications are a plus.
