Description

Travel Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist (Blood Bank) – Tuba City, AZ

Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 Hours/Week)

Seeking an experienced Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist with strong Blood Bank expertise for a 13-week travel assignment. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced MLS who thrives in a fast-paced hospital laboratory and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and oversight for the Blood Bank laboratory section.
Perform high-complexity laboratory testing and ensure accurate, timely reporting of results.
Maintain compliance with laboratory policies, regulatory standards, and quality assurance programs.
Assist with specimen processing, troubleshooting, and workflow coordination.
Support a multidisciplinary laboratory providing Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Clinical Microscopy, Phlebotomy, and Blood Bank services.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biological, Chemical, or Physical Science (or a related healthcare field)
Minimum 3 years of recent generalist laboratory experience performing high-complexity testing
Current, active MLS/MT certification from a nationally recognized agency (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
Blood Bank experience required
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
