Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Location: New Haven, Connecticut Specialty: Surgical Services Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP

Schedule

• Day shift, 4x10 hours (7:00 to 17:30), 10 hours per day and 40 hours per week
• Must scrub in the OR
• Weekend work required
• On-call required. Call follows the shift and runs 15:30 to 23:59 or until the end of the case (per the example given). Weekend call runs 07:00 to 15:30.
• Not open to accommodating a block schedule
• Guaranteed hours
• Time off (RTO) longer than 7 days requires approval

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Ability to scrub

Facility Training and Attestations

• Suicide Risk and Environmental Assessment Training (required for Allied)
• Chaperone Policy Training (required for Allied)
• Fire Safety Module (required for Allied)
• New Employee Orientation Module, due by end of day on start date
• 21st Century Cures Act Module is not required for OR Tech/Surgical Tech or CVOR Tech
