Registered Nurse – Step Down

Overview

• Location: Dayton, Ohio
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night, 19:00–07:30 (4x12 hours)
• Hours: 12 hours per day, 48 hours per week (36- or 48-hour options listed)
• Patient ratio: Targeted 1:4, may be up to 1:5–6

Float Scope

• Traveler is first to float, at the employer's discretion.
• Traveler floats within specialty clusters and is assigned a medically appropriate assignment or supports the nursing team of the unit floated to.
• May float to the main campus in Dayton and to two other campuses, less than 10 miles and less than 15 miles from the main campus.

Schedule and Policies

• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.
• The employer may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census.
• The employer may cancel the agreement with 2 weeks' notice, without fee or fine.
• RTO requests must be included with the initial submittal. No RTO can be added after the offer, and approval is at the manager's discretion.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Stepdown experience of at least 1 year, completed within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with stable chronic ventilators
• Experience with Epic
