CVOR Tech

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Columbus, Ohio
• Main OR assignment
• 13-week contract
• Day shift: 5x8s, 6:45a–3:15p
• No weekends
• Every other holiday
• Call: 1/3 of the call, discussed in interview
• Maximum RTO: 5 days
• Department has 20 OR suites and an average volume/census of approximately 50
• Hospital provides a locker and scrubs

Required Qualifications

• CVOR Technologist with 2 years of experience
• CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• High school diploma or GED, or graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program, equivalent military training, or 10+ years of experience as a surgery technician
• Experience working with cardiac patients
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma patients
• Experience in a large hospital or Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma setting
• Experience with Epic

Role Details

• Certified or non-certified surgical tech
• Prepares the room and gathers supplies for surgical procedures
• Delivers instruments intraoperatively
• May function as second assistant to the surgeon
• Assists with decontamination of the room, supplies, and instruments post-operatively
• Other service lines include GYN, General, Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma
